Dumbbell Exercise & Training
A dumbbell is a very inexpensive yet versatile and effective piece of exercise equipment. With just a pair of dumbbells and a clear space to exercise, a wide variety of dumbbell exercises can be performed with no other equipment necessary*.
As you progress in strength and ability, advanced versions of dumbbell exercises can be accomplished and dumbbell weight can be increased to keep your dumbbell training achieving optimum results.
Due to the freedom of movement that a dumbbell allows you, you are able to complete a full body workout, or to concentrate on specific muscle groups depending on your dumbbell training goals.
The Great Dumbbell Handbook contains 45 dumbbell exercises, organised into nine muscle groups:
- Rotator Cuff
Each dumbbell exercise highlights muscles worked, and gives extensive instructions, complete with photos detailing start, finish and alternative angles of the dumbbell exercises in practice.
*To perform the broadest range of dumbbell exercises an exercise mat, seat or bench may be required.
