This DVD is aimed at professionals rather than your usual home
workout DVD that is aimed at home users. But
don’t let this put you off, I actually think this is a benefit and
is one of the reasons I think this is the best home workout DVD I
have come across in a while.
You don’t feel patronised for a start. So often in their attempt
at being helpful, presenters can make you feel like they think you
are stupid. This just puts me off personally and has been the reason
for many a DVD's quick removal from the player to the DVD cupboard
never to be seen again.
The really, great thing about being aimed at the
professional market i.e. people who want to teach Reebok Deck
classes and personal trainers. Is that for most of the exercises you
are given different ways of doing the exercise, dependant on your
ability and how hard you want to work.
You typically get shown the basic exercise, ideal for beginners
or people new to exercise. Next you get a slightly more advanced way
to do it, more suitable to regular exercisers. Then an intense
version of the exercise for the very fit, or ideal if you want to
focus on a specific part of your body or muscle group.
The general tone of the DVD is like you are actually in a gym class. You’re reminded to only do as much as you feel comfortable
doing and detail is given on how to do each exercise. For example,
where your feet should be placed in relation to the Deck, how many
reps are left in the set, when to add power behind the exercise
etc...
This coupled with the friendly encouragement that is continuously
given, makes for a truly exceptional home workout DVD.
