The GI Plan vs other GI Diets

The GI Plan is different from other low glycaemic index (GI) diets, in that is uses a combination of GI and calories in a particular food, to come up with GI Points (GiP) for that food.

In this respect it is similar to following a calorie counted diet but the GI part of the points equation ensures low glycaemic GI foods are favoured, thereby preventing hunger.

The quick start guide section does just that, and with your GiP allowance you're ready to start planning your meals and snacks.

Meal Plans, Recipes & Food Shopping

Each day you get three meals and three snacks, which sounds great, but you do have to keep within your GiP allowance for the day.

To help you plan meals you’re find sample menus, meal plans, low glycaemic recipes that are GiP counted, a GiP table of foods, shopping list and even advice on keeping it low glycaemic when you’re eating out.

Diet Motivation

Possibly the best thing about the GI Plan is its motivational impact, as it is bursting with tips and ideas on mood, stress and self esteem.

With the friendly style of the authors and such comprehensive content, The GI Plan produces enough energy to get even the most reluctant dieter revved up!
